Was once known as PULO NI BURUNGGOY. On June 12, 1976 in Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite, the island was renamed as Covelandia Island Resort. The 12-hectare resort and hotel complex developed by the Manila Bay Island Resort Corporation had facilities such as functions rooms, floating pavilions, hotel rooms, cottages, a hotel pool and Jacuzzi, and a separate 3,000 sqm. two-layered swimming pool with four giant slides.
